Age Appropriate Developmental Norms:
We are always gauging how our children are doing when compared with their age-matched peers. Below are some developmental norms that can help guide treatment. You can use these standards are “way points” for goal setting. They will help you see what should be expected at a certain age and developmental stage.
Please view these norms as “windows”. These norms are “typical” ranges for specific milestones to appear. The age-appropriate norms are divided into academic, speech and self-help skills.
